November Swim

Galway 2

November Swim in aid of causes which provide services including self-harm prevention and bereavement counselling.

For over 20-years Lions Clubs in Galway have organised a sponsored swim, during the month of November. Individual club members and friends braving the cold seas, to raise money for our causes.

This year we are supporting:

  • HopeSpace Galway Children’s Grief Service – a new local charity that is providing a free, one-to-one, accessible support service to children and young people from Galway City and County who are negatively impacted by grief, and their families. Since commenced services, HopeSpace is already providing very valuable support where none previously existed.

We are looking for Swimmer to take part in this years event. You can sign up to be a fundraiser here.

Attending Galway Lions Club 2022 November Swim Launch were swimmers: Pat Connelly, Brook Sheehan, Geraldine Mannion (Galway Lions Club President), Barry O’Connor, and Ed Davies. For the past 20-years Lions Clubs in Galway have organised a sponsored swim during the month of November. Individual club members and friends braving the cold seas, to raise money for our causes. Over the 20 year period this event has raised over €150,000 for worth causes.
