The Visitations Project is one of  what we call our Service Projects.

Service Projects are those projects where Lions give of their own time and skills to do something for others less fortunate.

In this project, Galway Lions Club liaises with another local voluntary organisation- Galway Contact – and we carry out regular visits to elderly in need of companionship.

These visits are regular (weekly) to older people who live at home or are in long-stay care and who may feel lonely or isolated. By visiting someone we are also providing support and relief to their families and carers.
