Over the Christmas Season Galway Lions Clubs run a number of activity which provide the bulk of the Lions club’s fundraising activities.
Cash Collection
Galway Lions club collection appeal will run during the weekend the 25/26 November and 2/3 December, across Galway city, in support of great causes.
For the 25 / 26 November Galway Lions Club will be collecting funds at:
- Dunnes Terryland
- The Galway Shopping Centre
- The Corrib Shopping Centre
The following weekend of the 2/3 December we will be across these locations in conjunction with the Lions Clubs of Ireland national Dunnes appeal:
- Dunnes Briarhill
- Dunnes Terryland
- Dunnes Knocknacarra
- Dunnes Westside
We will also be collecting at Galway Shopping Centre Headford Rd and the CORRIB shopping Centre
Please help us raise funds for groups and individuals in need. You can donate with cash or via use your debit/credit card.
Christmas Raffle
During the month of December raffle card of 60 lines each together with prizes of Teddies, Puppies, Bears, Gift Cards are distributed to business premises across the town by the Galway Lions Club as part of our annual appeal to raise funds for the work we do throughout the year for the people of Galway.
Shop keepers and businesses are invited to take a prize and a raffle card and encouraged to ask shoppers and staff to buy a line or two.
The Christ Raffle appeal has been a popular fund raiser for the Galway Lions Club for over 20 years where, with public support we raised approximately €8,000 per annum
Christmas Jumpers
During December Staff in hotel and other business are encouraged to ware Christmas jumper on a dedicated day. Collection buckets are place on these premise and staff and members of the public are encouraged to donate to the Galway Lions Club
Charity Boxes
Galway Lions club have placed Charity boxes in many locations across Galway. Members of the public can donate their loose change or scan a QR code to donate electronically.
